Split Pea Soup

Ingredients:
1 cup dried split peas
1 bag frozen peas (16 oz.)
2 boxes chicken broth
4 cups water
1/2 tsp. Red pepper flakes
1/2 tsp. Tumeric 
1 tsp. Thyme
2 bay leaves
1/2 tsp. Paprika 
1 Tbsp. Chicken Bouillon 
1 sweet onion chopped
3 smaller potatoes chopped
2 carrots chopped
3 cloves chopped garlic

Stovetop method:
Place all ingredients in soup pot. Cook on high to simmer, cover with lid ans cook on medium-low at a simmering boul for 2 hours.  Serve hot with homemade bread.  Take bay leaves out before serving.

Crockpot Method:
Place all ingredients in crockpot. Cook on high for 8 hours.  Serve hot with homemade bread.  Take bay leaves out before serving.
